  1. I usually post hourly Readathon updates on my Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tweetyiscool29
Nothing terribly fancy, but I make them public so anyone can see them.
Say hi if you drop by! Any comment you leave would probably be more exciting than the “please send me a friend request” scammer comments I get on these posts many months after the fact!

    1. Not sure yet if I will officially join this readathon. I‘ve participated a few times over the years and found that readathons stress me out and take the fun out of reading. If I join, it will be something spontaneous. Or maybe I will join some of the sprints or memes or whatever in the Deweys goodreads group.

      1. I understand, Cathy. I like sprints. I do readathons, and am usually organized but this time I can’t think of what books to choose. I have so many. I know I don’t want it to be a blog tour one. I am finding blog tours stress me out so I’m only doing a certain amount this year. I may try to get my NetGalley ratio up. I want to find something on Scribd, too. Dewey sprints are good. The Goodreads group has fun stuff.

      2. I agree, I’ve found some great books through blog tours, but one of the organisers puts a lot of pressure on bloggers. And not all those books are NetGalley ones. Good luck with getting through your NetGalley books

      3. Luckily they don’t. But this one person who works for a publisher does push too much. I’m still doing things at my own pace. I don’t think this is right they push at all. I’m going to not do reviews for them much longer. They may get paid but NetGalley reviewers do not. I wish there was a way to get paid. My burnout happens because of all the reviewing and then all the sharing. It sometimes does not make books so fun anymore. I did do a review recently for someone who says reviewers are like the diamonds of the book industry and need to be celebrated. Their policy is you can review if you want or also not at all.

    1. 33 Deweys, that’s awesome. This is my 10th year. I understand about social media navigation with visual impairments. I have Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus. One of my visual impairments is tunnel vision. I also have hemianopia and nystagmus, strabismus and astigmatism. I get wordpress to post to Twitter automatically. I get my iPad’s screenreader (Voiceover) to read ebooks out and I also use Scribd and Audible for audiobooks.

I’m updating on my blog https://justkatherineblog.wordpress.com

Posts will be live when I’m finished with the books I get round to getting through each day.

      1. and i sometimes pity party over simple tunnel vision. shame on me. i popped over to your blog for a gander and was amazed at how much reading you get done. i’ll visit again after i’ve recovered from the Thon and actually read and comment. meanwhile i’ve just come up for air after a two hour dive into Where’d You Go Bernedette. only 28%. I only know that because the Libby Ap keeps track. Maybe I could have got further if I hadn’t had to stop so often to LOL squirting tears. Can’t read thru tears. Not even the big fat fonts I use. But OMG this is an hilarious story and a coming of age which is one of my fav genres.
        Happy reading.

  3. Thanks for the happy reading wishes and the book recommendation, it sounds great. I don’t have that book yet, but it’s on my TBR list. I’m on page 87 of The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. Thanks for visiting my blog. Voiceover lets me know where I am, too. It helps a lot and you can set the reading speed in settings if you have an iPad. Having it read things out is relaxing.

      1. Thanks, I will definitely enjoy this weekend. I’m always doing something related to books and listen to a lot in a year usually. This weekend is another fun challenge.
