Reverse Readathon

Hour -0… One hour till we begin!!!

Hello Readathon Friends! This is Kate and we are one hour away from the Reverse Readathon.

We wanted to start with a small change… Readathon Bingo! This is something Gabby actually started a couple years ago on the Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon Goodreads group and its something that we were so excited to bring to the group as a whole. In case you missed the post with the Bingo Board and Rules, you can find that linked above. This will be linked on every bi-hourly post so you can be able to reference it. Please feel free to copy the image and post your progress to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #readathonbingo

Also, if you haven’t already joined our Goodreads Group, now would be a great opportunity to do so! We will be hosting a Reading Sprint in the first hour and would love for you to join us!

Without further ado, I’ll now leave you to all those last minute things you’ve procrastinated doing… that first book you need to pick, that snack you need to grab, the coffee you need to brew… and the opening survey you need to fill out (please see below). I’ll see you all back here in an hour when you all crack open our books together and begin our weekend reading adventure! Happy reading, friends 🙂

Opening Survey!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

    4. When I was younger, I hated reading. Went to Baltimore to visit a family member and was astonished by the amount of books she had, told her I didn’t like reading and she said I couldn’t go home until I read a book…that was the start of my beautiful love affair with books.
    5. This is my first read-a-thon, I’m looking forward to seeing how far I can get (hopefully I won’t get too distracted)

    1. I’m in Nor Cal as well (Sacramento area)! I haven’t heard of read with me streams. I’ll have to look that up. Sometimes I like ASMR videos where they’re reading to you, but that might put me to sleep. LOL. Good luck and happy reading 🙂

    4) I’m a readaholic, who loves to play golf, trumpet, and field hockey. Sadly only the first of those are happening these days. But I am reading!
    5) I’m going to try and stay awake the entire time. I remembered to buy an energy drink this time and if I get really tired, I’m going to try taking a shower. Which likely just means I’ll wake up sometime tomorrow evening with my hair sticking up.
