Hour 23 – Get up and Dance!!!

GET UP AND DANCE ALONG!!!!

I am sure we have all seen this before, but sometimes it is nice to rewatch a good video! This is Kate from Kate’s Book Nook and I will be your co-host for the rest of the readathon! So did you get up and dance??? Did that give you more energy? Got any tips for staying awake that you want to share with the rest of the class? Only two hours to go and I am sure we could all use some good tips at this point!

To all the wonderful cheerleaders I am sure we could be using some of your magic energy helping comments. You all are awesome and I really want to thank you for all you have done!

If you are still reading, leave a comment in the comments section with what you are currently reading. Provided there are enough commentors who haven’t already won a prize, at least three people will be randomly picked from their for the final prize winners.

  1. I am currently reading The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick, and it’s great!

I hope everyone is having a great time with the readathon!

    1. @perpetualspiral – Showers are good, but I usually have to take it cold or the hot water just feels so good that I can’t make myself get out of the shower…

    1. @Kathrin – I loved the movie! Emma Watson was perfect. But I haven’t read the book. I hope that you are enjoying it.

  2. My cats have been spazzing out and being absolutly ridiculous, which has been keeping me awake. I think they have gotten into my Rockstar at some point in time. My advice for staying awake is moving around and eating fruit (and chocolate).

I’m reading The Lindbergh Child by Rick Geary. It’s a graphic novel about the abduction and death of Col Charles A. Lindbergh’s son, and I highly recommend it.

    1. @Isa – Speak is one of those novels that I am always meaning to read but never do. I hope that you are enjoying it!!!

  3. I’m reading Lady Susan by Jane Austen. It’s VERY good.
1,058 novels in ten years!!! Are they really short? 🙂

    1. @Tanja – You know, I have not read enough Jane Austen. Only Pride & Prejudice. I mean, I love the movies of her books so I should actually read her books, you know?

  4. I’m reading Shards & Ashes, a book full of short (dystopian) stories. It’s the perfect book to finish the readathon with!

  6. Just finished RAPTURE by Phillip W. Simpson! Book #1.

A slow reader & yet to add it to the database. Had started William Shatner’s audiobook Up Till Now. So listening to some more while I make me a late night snack of cheese & crackers. NZ Time 10pm. Getting tired. Two more hours to go. Think I can Do iT!

  7. I’m currently reading Hiroshima, which in retrospect was not really a good choice for the final reads. But I’m almost done with it and hopefully can get started on Artemis Fowl in the final hour 🙂

  8. I honestly have no idea how I am still awake and functioning…I am currently re-reading “Rebecca” by Daphne Du Maurier. This will no doubt be my final book for this readathon…Thanks again for sticking with us and hosting for the final hours Kate!

    1. You can do it, Courtney! You are almost at the end. I loved the movie Rebecca but I haven’t read it yet. This whole readathon always adds WAY TOO MANY books to my already huge TBR!

  9. I had to take a sleeping break but I’m reading again. The read-a-thon starts 3 pm my time and sadly, I just can’t stay up for two days anymore.

I’m reading the Lord of the Sands of Time, a time travel/alternate history book.

    1. @Mervi – I totally understand. Though, to be honest, I wish mine started later. 5 am kills me as I am NOT a morning person!

  11. Just finished book 5 – City of Bones. It was awesome! But rather than go straight onto City of Ashes, I want to get stuck into Endlessly by Kiersten White. So I am just about to start reading it as we enter the final hour XD

I’ve raised £55 for charity doing this readathon and managed to stay awake for the full readathon (if I don’t fall asleep in the next hour that is…)

    Yay!

  12. Still reading!! I’m currently reading The Woman in White by Wilke Collins! I’ve been making progress on several books but was ignoring this one until the past hour or so!

    Twitter I’m @diamondcronen

I’m gonna break for a few hours and I’ll be continuing for several hours bc I started a bit late, being PST time and all!

Good luck everyone! Get some rest, if you’re done. If not, make some tea! I just had a cup of black tea a bit ago and it helped!
