Hour 11 – Simultaneous Reads

- Mix up forms. Reading an ebook, audiobook, and paperback is a lot easier than trying to juggle three different mass markets. When you’re doing chores and can’t hold a physical book or e-reader, switch to the audiobook. And when you get tired of holding that heavy hardcover? It’s time to go digital.
- Mix up genres. If you try to switch between 3 different mystery books, you’re going to end up being really confused. I find reading a non-fiction book, fiction novel, and short story collection is the perfect combo.
- DNF (did not finish). The beauty of juggling multiple books at once is that you’ll quickly notice if you’re picking one up less than the others. And if you decide to DNF, you’re already into a few other reads. I’ve gotten way more comfy with the idea of DNF-ing recently and it means I end up spending more time on books I want to read.
Hour 10 – Reading Weather

Hour 9 – An Intro to The StoryGraph

- the ability to discover books by mood
- personal recs (they’re way better than GR’s)
- tracking with stats and pie charts (so you can see how many LGBTQIA+ books you read, for example)
- reading challenge tracking (yay!)
- the ability to custom tag books
- content warnings (you can also add them yourself when reviewing a book)

Hour 7 – Reading Buddies!
We are back for hour 7!!!!! Who’s excited?! Now’s the time to talk about our reading buddies! Here’s mine!!!! His name is Quil. He loves reading with mommy as long as mommy isn’t reading out loud. He LOVES listening to audiobooks as long as there’s no not safe for work or work material or scary parts! He will promptly leave the room until the scene is done. The weird thing is he loves the Sword of Truth series! He listens actively to the story. For those of you who read the series, you get why this miffs me. I’d love to see your reading buddies!
Let’s get back to reading!!!!! I’ll be listening to audiobook while hanging out on Twitter! Come join me!

Hour 6 – Audiobooks
Hope everybody is having a great time reading so far! Can you believe we are six hours into reading already? I’m just amazed! How is your reading going? Fantastic I’m sure! I like to switch up my hours so I don’t get burned out. I read for a few hours and then I switch to audiobooks. I mean I’m still reading either way, but you get me! Anybody else do this as well? If so, what do you do when listen? Me personally, I either scroll the computer, clean, color, or play games. I try to avoid anything that takes concentration away from the audiobook too much. It definitely helps maximize reading time! I usually don’t like to listen to audio on headphone though, so I usually stick in my room when I listen. But I do have headphones. I’d love to hear your audiobook routine!
Back to reading! I’ll be listening to audiobook and hanging out with you all on Twitter! Happy reading!

Hour 5 – Social Reading
And one last time, this is Kait from Kait Plus Books, here with all the excessive gifs and exclamation points!
How does reading change when we do it together? Whether that means reading the same books or just reading together at the same time (hi readathon!), I think it makes a difference when we know that other people are reading with us.

I love readathons and other social reading because it makes me feel connected to other people. What about you? Do you enjoy the community that comes together for things like Readathon? Or do you just like having an entire day to set everything aside and just read? It could be both! Let me know in the comments and have a happy readathon!
I’m signing off here for the last time (today), but I’ll still be updating my blog and mini game all day! Come visit me and say hi!

Hour 4 – Five Word Books
Hello hello! Kait from Kait Plus Books here again for another hour of cohosting! This time, I want us all to have some fun!
I saw a post from Epic Reads the other day called “Can You Guess The Book Based On These Five-Word Summaries?” and after clicking on it and taking the quiz (I only missed 1!), I decided to try and make my own. I had tons of fun putting it together! You can see it for yourself right here!

Do you think you would enjoy playing a game like this? I know that I would love it! Let me know if you got any of mine correct in the comments and happy reading!

Hour 3- Let’s Talk About#TBRs!
Hi everyone! Kait here from Kait Plus Books. I’ll be here with you for the next few hours, so grab your books and let’s get started!
I love making #tbrs. I’m horrible at actually sticking to them, but I love the excitement and anticipation I feel putting them together. What books do I want to read next? If I read three fantasy books in a row, will I want to read even more when I’m finished, or do I need a genre switch?

Usually, I fill my Readathon #tbr up with a dozen or so graphic novels and novellas, but this time I only have one book on it. Granted, it’s a 517 page book, but still! I’m shocked I haven’t padded it with shorter reads!
How many books are on your Readathon #tbr? Are they long books or shorter ones? Are you good at sticking to them or do you wander away from them like I do? Let me know in the comments and happy reading!
