Hour 1: Opening Survey and Sprint

The readathon starts in 1 hour with a sprint! Are you ready!!??! Devices charged? Books handily near by? Cozy reading spot tidied and prepped? SNACKS??? (Healthy breakfast???)

    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot since I never got a copy as a child/teen. I’m looking forward to them all equally.
    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? An orange
    4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I love the colour purple.
    5) What are your goals for this readathon? To complete some more Scribd books and relax.

    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I am 100 pages into The Last Astronaut, which is fun. I might read some short stories by Aliette de Bodard later, to mix things up.
    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? I am trying to eat less, so no snacks prepared besides some juices to take me through the day.
    4) Tell us a little something about yourself! My hobby is reading… 😝 I also bake sourdough bread with my own starter, when I am not feeling too lazy.
    5) What are your goals for this readathon? Have fun.

  3. I’m in upstate NY. I am finishing up the last 100 pages of Hang the Moon by Jeannette Walls, which is very good. Then I’ll head to a YA book called Spell Bound. Looking forward to mac and cheese for lunch. I’m a HS English Teacher, on a national committee for Best YA Fiction and my hubby and I have 4 cats. My goals is to read what I can–but I never make the 24 hours lol

    1. I was born in Syracuse New York , and still consider myself a New Yorker What upstate town are you in ? No worries . I never do the entire 24 either .
      Just making progress on the books I’ve chosen for the Readathon is good enough for me .

      1. Cool ! Small world . A lot of good writers were born in the Empire State . L. Frank Baum and Washington Irving are two of my favorites .

  4. 1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Amarillo, Texas, USA
    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? They all appeal to me, but I think Adult Assembly Required by Abbi Waxman or The London Séance Society by Sarah Penner. I loved previous books by both these authors so I have high expectations for both of these.
    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? My almond M&M’s (they are a read-a-thon tradition for me)
    4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I love to travel & when I can’t be out exploring the world I love to read travel books with wonderful photos.
    5) What are your goals for this readathon? To spend as much concentrated time reading as possible

    I tried to quit my job and now I still work there but with a raise and now from home. lol
    5) What are your goals for this readathon?
    Read! But also, take it easy. Relax. I already know I won’t be striving for the 24 hours so I’m just going to enjoy myself. Which is why it took so long for me to update on Goodreads!
