  5. I’m reading from Parsippany, NJ.

I’m most looking forward my first book, One Day She’ll Darken. An incredible true story.

Snack? Just ate breakfast; can’t think about snacks rt now. 😁

This is my 4th or 5th readathon. I came close to staying up the entire 24 hrs the first time. I made it 21 hrs. Haven’t come close since. 🤞

If the wather is nice this afternoon, I’d like to go outside for a little while to change locations. I usually stay in the same apot and it does get old after a while.

    Happy reading everyone!!

    The Netherlands

    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Sam Sykes’ Seven Blades in Black, which came JUST in time for this readathon. I was worried it wouldn’t be here in time, but I got it two days ago from the Book Depository.

    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Hmmm. Either my noodles, or the DIY pizzas I have for dinner later. It’s hard to say right now.

    4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I am an American living in the Netherlands with my husband and three cats. This is the third country I’ve lived in, and I’m trying to learn Dutch (it’s hard!)
Hopefully by next readathon, I’ll be reading some books in Dutch 🙂

    5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

Last Readathon, I had just moved to the Netherlands and was living out a hotel so I didn’t get to participate as much as I wanted to. I tried my best, but I was too busy. This Readathon, I was pretty prepared and so I’m ready to make it the full twenty-four hours! I prepped with more snacks this time, but I ditched the TBR pile since I never actually read from it anyway. I’ll probably post less to instagram and more to Goodreads this year. More authentic engagement.

  21. Good morning! I started the day dark and early here in Southern California. I think I may most be looking forward to Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire – it’s been on my list a long time. The snack I am rather looking forward to would be veggie antipasti from Trader Joe’s with Gorgonzola crackers. Though I will admit on going on a short quest for edible cookie dough this morning at a couple 7-11s. I was alas unsuccessful.

I’ve had some shake-ups at work in the last month, so I am treating this as a self-care day where I don’t go into work, don’t think about, just enjoy myself doing something I love.

I think last readathon I was not prepared, but I also think I wasn’t really committed. This time I am going for it and may even try to stay up 24 hours.
