Book of the Month loves readers. And we love when readers come together to read. We love Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon for exactly that reason. We are excited to support readers doing what they do best by offering 25 three-month memberships to the prize list for winners to choose from during the Readathon.
Book of the Month is a new club with a long history. Founded in 1926, we’ve been helping millions of readers discover great books for nearly 90 years. We are a monthly subscription box, featuring your choice of five of the best books we can find. The choices each month range from page-turning thrillers to fascinating explorations of history, science or pop culture to elegantly written character studies to too-close-for-comfort dystopian fantasies.
Each month, the club features five new selections, which are chosen by our panel of Judges, who come from all corners of the book world. They are authors, editors, bloggers, and journalists from publications such as Harper’s, Book Riot, Essence, O Magazine, Esquire, People and more. Most importantly, they’re readers, just like you.
We also feature a Guest Judge each month. In October, our Guest Judge is Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory, who wrote a heartfelt essay about her selection, The History of Love by Nicole Krauss which is celebrating its ten-year anniversary this year.
We hope that you will select one of the 25 Book of the Month memberships as your prize, and we look forward to sharing next month’s selections with you on November 1st. Each month you will be able to choose which hardcover book you would like to receive. And after you’ve read your Book of the Month, discuss it on our site with other members, Judges and authors as well!

Happy reading!
