THE LAST HOUR!!! If you’ve made it this far, congratulations!! Don’t give up now!
Phew!
This hour, we’ll ask you all to fill this end of the event meme:
1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
5. How many books did you read?
6. What were the names of the books you read?
7. Which book did you enjoy most?
8. Which did you enjoy least?
9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
When you’re done, come back and enter the link to your post in the Mr. Linky below. There will be prizes, yes. The winners will get to pick from whatever hasn’t been claimed yet from the prize list. (Don’t worry, there are still some good prizes up for grabs!)
http://www.blenza.com/linkies/easylink.php?owner=trish&postid=29Apr2006
There will also be prizes for:
Most enthusiastic cheerleader (participants: Please vote by e-mailing deweyreadathon AT gmail.)
Most time spent reading (if you think that might be you, please leave a comment here with your total reading time.)
The winners will be announced once we’ve all had the chance to recover, so keep an eye on this blog for a wrap-up post. We’ll also be announcing the winners of the remaining mini-challenges.
Also, the winner of Jessica’s mini-challenge is: Eva
Congratulations, Eva! Please get in touch with Jessica about your prize.
Thank you so much for participating, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful time!
Still happening:
Debbie’s mini-challenge (last hour for this mini-challenge)
Participants in all 4 read-a-thons: leave a comment in the hour 20 post
Vote for the winner of Kim’s comic mini-challenge
Participants who did fund-raising: enter your name on the Mr. Linky from hour 23.
Quick comment – has my yarn cutter and yarn been won because it’s disappeared from the prize list?

Jodie – Probably. I can’t tell you for sure because it’s Hannah who’s doing the prizes, but she’ll finish putting the winners in touch with the prize donors in the next few days.
And I was hoping the LOLcats would provide come inspiration 😀

What about the winner from the Honoring Dewey Challenge?

Jessica Marie, we’ll announce that in the wrap-up post either later this Sunday or on Monday. It’s that there are entries both in the comments and in the Mr Linky, and Eva and I don’t trust our brains to organize it all into a list without messing up right now 😛
Don’t worry, everyone – all loose ends will be tied.

Nymeth, just wanted to pop in one last time to thank you again for all your hard work, for giving up loads of sleep just to give others a good time, and for keeping Dewey’s spirit alive! It is so very much appreciated!!! I know there’s still half an hour to go, but after that…GO GET SOME SLEEP!

I know I won’t win total number of pages read, but I’m really happy with those numbers: 1085 pages!
And that despite being trapped at a baby shower by a flood!

Thanks to all the organizers for doing this. I had a great time first time out. I read for the first 18 hours, pretty much straight, though I think with breaks that’s about 17.5 hours, but I’ve been up reading since six and I hope to read until the end…so I’d say total 19.5 hours reading time.

Debbie Nance, do you know your total in hours/minutes? It’s that we’re using time instead of pages so that it’s fair for those who read more slowly. 1000 pages is great! You have every reason to be satisfied.
Trish – lol! You really want a prize, don’t you? 😛

That’s with all breaks taken off, otherwise, I spend the whole 24 hours reading.
